Im Looking Forward
to a challenging year.

Donate to my chosen charity Alzheimer’s Society

Every little bit will help towards ground breaking research.

My reason behind
this years charity fund raising.

My father has had dementia for about 5 years, which has basically been poor memory but recently (August 2019) took a terrible turn for the worst. As my DAD, the most amazing placid man you could have ever wished to meet, turned very aggressive and abusive towards his loved one’s. This awful disease began to rapidly take over my dad.

You can read more about our struggles with this on my Just Giving Page

Tough Mudder September 2019

Im am doing a tough mudder with my son James and my daughter Kate on September 21st 2019, this is just for a bit of fun before l start my training for my next event.

Hi All

2019 has bought  a lot of challenges for myself and my family

Im am once again getting ready for a challenge to help fund a cure or further the treatment for Dementia, as many of you no my dad has have this horrible illness now for many years but this year it has got so bad we have had to put him into a home which is not something we wanted to do but had to to help every body to deal with it.

London Marathon 2019

I’ve joined the Dementia Revolution; the official Charity Team of the Virgin Money London Marathon 2019. My dad has now been diagnosed with dementia so this is now personal.

In April I will run 26.2 miles through the streets of London; because research can end dementia and taking on this challenge for the Dementia Revolution is a unique opportunity to power the most ambitious dementia research endeavour the UK has ever seen.

Dementia is the biggest health threat facing society and there are currently no effective treatments to slow, prevent or cure it.

But a revolution is growing – on the streets and in the laboratories. Scientists are gaining on dementia, making discoveries to change lives. But they can’t do it alone. We must bring dementia out of the shadows, so that people living with this devastating condition can lead more fulfilling lives.

Alzheimer’s Society and Alzheimer’s Research UK are joining forces for a year-long campaign to power ground-breaking dementia research, overthrow old attitudes and lead the charge towards a cure.

We all must make a stand; sponsor me today to support ground-breaking dementia research.

Through Virgin Money Giving, you can sponsor me and donations will be quickly processed and passed to the Dementia Revolution charities; Alzheimer’s Society and Alzheimer’s Research UK.

Virgin Money Giving is a not for profit organisation and will claim gift aid on a charity’s behalf where the donor is eligible for this.

I really appreciate all your support and thank you for any donations.

You can Donate on my Virgin Money page here.
